This absorbing film for Yeti, co-directed by Christopher Murphy and Fresh Film's Max Lowe through Wilderpeople Productions, follows the blossoming of an unlikely friendship.
“Conrad lost all of his homies in the mountains, and I lost all my homies in the hood," says Martin a young Black man from Memphis, Tennessee, with a troubled past .
A chance encounter with Conrad Anker – who says he can tell within the first 15 minutes of meeting somebody whether they are they gonna be friends or not – leads Martin to follow Anker to rural Montana to embark on a climbing spree during which they learn that there is more that connects them than divides them.
In a world where individuals often remain in their own lanes, the film Malik celebrates the decision to step out of the ordinary and make meaningful connections with others while sharing adventures.
