You can stuff your ending of Beaches, stick your Dancer In The Dark back in the cupboard and confine Marley And Me to the kennel - everybody knows the most heartbreaking moment in movie history is when Bing Bong makes the ultimate sacrifice in Inside Out.
Thankfully twisting the true gut-wrenching inevitability of losing one's imaginary friends, Broken Heart Love Affair's new spot for Toys'R'Us Canada nonetheless gives us pause (or should that be paws) for thought as to the power of ideation.
Dealing with a parent's frantic response when her son fails to remember Mr Ferguson, the spot sees a pair of Toys’R’Us 'playamedics', who use everything from action figures to a Baby Shark Water Blaster and a whoopie cushion to bring the cute creature back to his fun-loving self.
Directed by Mike Warzin through production company The Salmon, the hilarious spot's instant pivot from everyday ad to medical drama makes for a bit of imaginative play that can't be forgotten.
