With the help of VCCP and director Steve Rogers, the confectionary brand has launched this sweet and sensitive spot demonstrating how showing we care brings us closer together.
Garage, produced by Somesuch, follows a man as he fills his car up at a petrol station, and approaches the cashier to pay. Looking tired and fed up, the young woman barely makes eye contact with the customer while he pays for his fuel, and a bar of Cadbury’s chocolate.
Noticing that he's forgotten his chocolate, she taps on the window to get his attention, but he looks back with a friendly smile before walking away. In a heartwarming moment, the rug is pulled to reveal that the customer is her father, as she says ‘love you Dad’, over the petrol station speakers.
The campaign is a continuation of Cadbury's 'Generosity' brand platform, which references back to its famous recipe, stating that just as there is a half a glass of milk in every half pound of chocolate, there is kindness in everyone.
