What with DC Comics' recent turmoil and new leadership under James Gunn, we're not sure anyone bet on 'most comic-book accurate Batman rogue's gallery' appearing in a State Farm commercial. But here we are!
Hinging on the funny premise of Jason Bateman donning the cowl but not scowl of the Caped Crusader, Highdive Advertising's Batman vs. Bateman flips between a series of scenarios in which infamous villains get the deadpan treatment.
Presenting as more Dork Knight than Dark Knight, Bateman makes for an entertaining stooge, but the real gems in Hungry Man director Bryan Buckley's are the brillaintly realised antagonists - with pop star SZA as Catwoman, Kai Cenat as a Gotham City citizen, and social media star Jordan ‘the Stallion’ Howlett as Commissioner Gordon, alongside a 'could it be' Cameron Monaghan as a picture perfect Joker and 'sounds like it might be' Will Arnett as the world's greatest detective.
