Cabin welcomes Kim Christensen as MD in LA
She will work alongside founder Carr Schilling in Los Angeles and in tandem with the company’s executive leadership teams in New York and Europe to continue growing Cabin’s profile globally.
Cabin Editing Company welcomes Kim Christensen as the new Managing Director of its Los Angeles office.
She will work alongside founder Carr Schilling in Los Angeles and in tandem with the company’s executive leadership teams in New York and Europe to continue growing Cabin’s profile globally.
“We are inspired by Kim’s extensive professional background, her wealth of industry knowledge and relationships, and her down-to-earth, approachable leadership style,” shared Schilling. “She’ll be a great fit at Cabin. We’re excited to welcome her and to hit the ground running!”
Christensen brings a diverse professional background across all areas of post production, including visual effects, design, and editorial. She joins Cabin following 12 years at a52, where as Executive Producer she helped lead the company to creative success, significant business growth, and newfound synergies across a52 and its sister companies Elastic, Rock Paper Scissors, and Primary.
Previously, Christensen held a variety of leadership roles at companies including Bug Editorial, where she led the launch of the company’s new LA office, Spotwelders, and Public VFX. She began her career on the agency side of the business, working at Amster Yard, a division of McCann Erickson in New York.
Throughout her career, Christensen has gained expertise in all areas of post production and earned a reputation for being hard working, resourceful, and an accessible and collaborative partner with artists and clients. She has worked with international brands including Nike, Apple, Ikea, Samsung, Xfinity, Microsoft, and many others, and her campaigns have been recognised with accolades from The Emmys, The One Show, and AICP.
