The end of last year saw Riff Raff directing collective Megaforce join forces with iconic fashion label Burberry for a brilliantly crafted, beautifully performed and award-gobbling film that saw Burberry-clad dancers navigate falling blocks of ice on the streets of east London.

Today, Burberry and Megaforce are back with a new campaign which once again puts amazing movement and physics-defying dancers at its heart.

Called Open Spaces, the two-minute film is a journey through the freedom of imagination. "When we dare to dream," says the press release, "the possibilities are infinite – we discover new realities, we break boundaries and we find the freedom to go beyond limitations."

Riccardo Tisci, Burberry's Chief Creative Officer, collaborated with Megaforce on the film's concept, which centres on four people who, after parking their car in a huge, deserted field, don their Burberry jackets and set off to explore. When a sudden gust of wind disturbs the fields of wheat through which they're walking, one by one they take to the air for a gravity-defying, balletic journey through the surrounding landscape that takes its inspiration from Thomas Burberry's quote: "Inherent in every Burberry garment is freedom."

"Freedom allows us to be creative, to dream, to be anything or anyone," said Tisci. "Burberry, like me, has had freedom at its heart since the very beginning. This campaign celebrates the fearless spirit of exploration which connects us with one another and the natural world. It's about pushing boundaries and pursuing endless possibilities – looking to the future and connecting us all."

“We had so much fun working on this campaign," added Megaforce. "For this film, we had the idea to celebrate the joy of being free, the love for nature, and the strength of the collective. These are familiar themes to Burberry’s vocabulary as well as its heritage of exploring the outdoors. We wanted to communicate these notions and it’s such a nice feeling when something out of our imagination becomes a reality."
