Created by DDB Paris and helmed by Frenzy director Vellas this cinematic trailer sees an elite US special operations forces (the Ghosts) stranded behind enemy lines. This results in an intense and immersive four-minute film that drops the viewer into the depths of a forest where the Ghosts team is being hunted by a dark military squad attempting to destroy them.
"I’m a huge fan of war classical movies," said Vellas. "Black Hawk Down, Saving Private Ryan and Zero Dark Thirty were definitely my inspirations for this. I knew two aspects would be decisive in this trailer: the characters and the sound design, the contrast between the eerie quiet of the forest and when battle erupts, the deafening sound of gunfire and explosions. I’m not shy to say I wanted it as a big blockbuster war movie and I’m really proud of what we’ve done and grateful the agency and [game developer] Ubisoft to have been given this opportunity."
