In this compelling promo for French rapper Booba’s latest track, 6G, Mynd director Fred de Pontcharra takes us on a disturbing and visually captivating journey through Tokyo.
The film opens with stunning shots of the Japanese city’s skyline, where a young woman loosens her necktie and jumps from a high rise building. The camera pans out to reveal Booba, sitting on a chair in brightly coloured kimono, a black umbrella in hand.
Seamlessly combining live-action and surreal VFX, De Pontcharra swiftly whisks us through an unsettling sequence of slow-mo stunts, fight scenes, geisha masks and murder that is equal parts anxiety-inducing and mesmerising.
