Denisha Anderson, one of Caviar's rising stars, directs an electrifying promo for Something On My Mind, the indie-tinged house hit with a slinky vintage disco synth sound created by Purple Disco Machine with producer Duke Dumont and vocals by Nothing But Thieves.
Reminiscent of the dastardly duo Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow, who got their kicks rollocking around Great Depression era America robbing banks and gas stations, the film depicts a couple of cool crims as they smoulder at each other while joyriding around doing bad things.
The director drew inspiration from the experimental 1940s film Meshes Of The Afternoon by Maya Deren and states that she “wanted to create a fantasy romance, using a time loop pattern of confusion and lust.”
With each loop more of the storyline unfolds, revealing fun guest cameo appearances from Nothing But Thieves and Purple Disco Machine as hijacked hostages.
