This adorable ad from DDB San Francisco shows off intense focus and clever production.
A young girl’s biography flashes across the screen, starting at her birth, detailing her various achievements. Her patisserie, artistry, mechanazing, and chess whizzery dazzle and delight, and all before she hit thirteen. The charming style is reminiscent of a Wes Anderson film, full of bright colors, meta winks to the narrator, and montage-style descriptions of long periods of time.
Directed by Isaiah Seret, Eleanor T. Fitzsimmons is charming, exceptionally well-acted, and full of nods to the camera that feel natural. The heavy stylization works incredibly well, and I would love to know if Biscuit Filmworks has the patent ready to go for Eleanor’s self-brushing toothbrush headgear.
