If social media/our inboxes are anything to go by, a lot of people are reacting to self-isolation by digitally socialising and stretching their creative muscles.
Combining both, and throwing in a fair-share of 'famous' faces for the ride, is Ben Berman's comi-tragic short The Follow Up. Using the filmmakers Mac desktop as a storytelling space, the film explores the concepts of isolation and affirmation through site-sourced vids and some nifty editing.
With a hilarious selection of Cameo camoes (an unhinged Gary Busey is set to haunt our dreams) and a whip-smart decision to get the film contextually cut and released whilst the lockdown was in place, Berman's undoubtable skills as a storyteller and outside-box-thinker are evident throughout.
