The ups-and-downs of a creative career are gloriously brought to life in this gorgeously conceived animated film from Iris and Not To Scale's BAT.

Showcasing the versatility of the Wacom Cintiq tablet, The Creative Journey takes viewers through six short, interconnected scenes, metaphorically portraying artistic infancy, early commissions, client rejection, gaining more confidence, achieving commercial success, through to finally mastering skills to receive global adulation.

Putting the film together through a series of illustration styles, BAT enlisted the talents of renowned illustrators such as Rune Fisker, Jose Luis Agreda and Juan Barabani, collaborating to design the different stages, with the directors on hand to ensure it flows as a consistent, single-shot sequence.

The resulting film (split into separate parts for release on Instagram), is a thrilling ride through the rollercoaster that is creativity.

“We love telling stories," comments  BAT (Bali and Mat). "This was a particularly challenging one as it unfolds in six different styles. Despite this we always felt comfortable as we loved the script and the brand.

"Everybody in our industry works with Wacom and we know the brand very well so we really wanted to honour it with a great film for artists everywhere to enjoy”
