This intriguing film from SMUGGLER director Fenn O’Meally captures the poetry of the song in bewitching black-and-white visuals.
O’Meally has worked with DP Paul Özgür to create a textured, emotional and strangely uncomfortable feel as she portrays the numbness of a young man disconnected from himself.
Shot on 16mm, the exquisite film explores the curiosity of boyhood, the traditions of Bakar's culture and the sadness he experiences as a man alienated from his environment.
