We'd like to think that you lovely shotsters always watch the films we curate for Work before reading the nonsense we write below, but just in case you're a 'flip to the back page first' kinda person, we HEARTILY recommend you go into A Bloody Mess blind.
Beginning with the arresting image of a cop in peril, BABYBABY's cheeky short soon turns into a reflexive study into the art (or, rather, problem-solving madness) of filmmaking itself.
Packed with some delightful performances and a nifty idea (which we feel owes a little to the sublime One Cut Of The Dead), this delightfully conceived and paced film is well worth a viewing.
