Lucha Libre, the distinctly Mexican wrestling spectacle in which masked competitors take part in high-flying, fast-moving bouts of athletic prowess, has been entertaining audiences for over 100 years, with the stars of the genre becoming cinematic heroes in the 50s/60s/70s.
Reviving the genre (as well as one of its most beloved characters, Huracán Ramírez) is LOS PÉREZ, who, along with Apple Mexico and Media Arts Lab LATAM, have created an epic tale of wrestling redemption and colourful action in Huracán Ramírez vs. La Piñata Enchilada.
Shot entirely on the iPhone 14 Pro, and making good use of the device's Action, Cinematic and Low Light modes, The Lift's directing duo creates a thrilling yarn that's full of entertaining set-pieces and imaginative interactions.

Accompanying the film is a behind-the-scenes video [above] narrated by one of the most influential voices of Lucha Libre History in Mexico, Leo Magadán.
