Channeling the joy of letting loose over your Christmas goose, this droll spot encourages Aussies to go large this year in their post-lockdown revelling.
Created by BMF and directed by Benji Weinstein through FINCH, the TV film You Cant Overcook Christmas follows Aussies as they tire of tradition and decide to try something unusual in the spirit of the brand's 'Good different' messaging.
Really pushing the gravy boat out with some creative Christmas prep, the revellers overdo the festive lights, charge the pudding with lashings of booze and generally whoop it up to a banging party tune, Sandstorm, performed by Dave Winnel.
“After yet another lengthy period of disruption to ‘normal’ life, Aussies are getting back out into the real world with gusto. Shoppers are on the lookout for an antidote to the dull ‘sameness’ of lockdowns and restrictions. We want to tap into post-lockdown excitement and show what many of us are feeling: this year is the year to go a bit bigger,” said Mark Richardson, Director of Marketing, ALDI Australia.
