In collaboration with Droga5 and SMUGGLER director Fenn O'Meally, Ad Council has unveiled this sensitive and honest PSA for Mental Health Awareness Month, as part of its ongoing Seize the Awkward initiative, which aims to encourage teens and young adults to check in with their friends.  

The campaign, titled Let's Be Real, centres around Ad Council research which finds that teens and young adults crave connection and emotional support, but many struggle to express that need – which can lead to feelings of isolation and loneliness. 

Set against twinkling cities and beautiful natural landscapes, a series of gorgeously shot, intimate scenes show how small, intentional moments of connection can make a meaningful difference in supporting a friend’s mental health.
