Well before Tom Cruise was creating increasingly elaborate on-screen suicide attempts for the Mission Impossible series, or Jackie Chan was seeing just how many bones could be broken on set, silent movie stars like Harold Lloyd and Buster Keaton were risking it all for the sake of a good gag.
Lovingly referencing these iconic individuals (whilst throwing in a few flashy camera moves that would have proved tricky at the time) is director Mark Jenkinson's comedic caper Break The SIlence for Acura.
Following a b/w star as he plummets from a Safety Last!-esque clock-face, the film sees him scoot through a variety of backlot sets in his tasty new ride.
Fun, frisky and clearly made with warmth and affection for the period, this cinematic chase through filmic familiarities is one heck of a ride.
