Fire, flood, storms and melting glaciers – the opening shots in this affecting film almost seem taken from a disaster movie.

But the dramatic montage includes genuine footage from around the globe, often from terrified victims’ mobile phones, showing the devastating affects of climate change.

The film underlines COP26's urgent call to arms, with the title echoing words used by Winston Churchill when he signed off critical decisions. Alongside are contributions from Brian Cox and young environmental campaigners such as Greta Thunberg. Produced by Harder Than You Think (HTYK) and directed by Matt Houghton, it's been widely distributed via partnerships with Bloomberg, WWF and with TikTok.

AnalogFolk supported HTYT on all digital executions for Earth to COP, including the branded preview site, www.earthtocop.org along with social activity, digital OOH, and assets for the ceremony itself which took place yesterday and was livestreamed around the world to an estimated two billion viewers.

Underscored by a powerful music track by Steven Price, (who won an Oscar for his score for Gravity), Action This Day moves from tragedy to images of the planet and its inhabitants in all their glory – dancing dolphins, sunsets on snowy peaks, colourful festivals and most importantly, the children who will inherit the Earth – hopefully.
