A Lidl act of Christmas kindness

Helmed by directing duo Dorian & Daniel through Zauberberg Productions, this touching fable from German supermarket chain Lidl shows how the best way to have A Magical Christmas is by bringing joy to others. 

Combining live-action with adorable, CGI creatures, the film follows a lonely racoon who, bedazzled by a beautifully-decorated tree, intrudes on a family’s home and accidentally smashes the young son’s favourite, monkey-shaped bauble. 

When the mother replaces the decoration with a monkey teddy from Lidl, but drops it on her way home, the caring creature sees an opportunity to repay his debt, and embarks on a treacherous journey return the bear. In a moving closing scene, the family dog observes the protagonist's selfless act of kindness, and shares his Christmas picnic.
