There’s something to be said for bull-headed determination, and the weekend warrior in these four spots from DDB Paris has that in spades.
Richie talks to the camera, edited like a vlog, showing his loyal audience how to make some iconic equipment from the Far Cry fight-for-all universe of Yara. Each attempt to build out a weapon ends in disaster, but the discount versions of Barracuda turret, the Susurro nailgun, the Furioso backpack, and the Tostador flamethrower he attempts to make are hilariously horrible.
With a lot of charm and a good feel for combining an engaging set, video game aesthetic, and the DIY blogger phenomenon, production company Cream really nails the look. Director Xavier Gens creates an immersive world from a single camera shot. Remember kids, do not do it yourself.
