Hyundai: The Elevator

Ozark star Jason Bateman is pitch-perfect as an elevator operator in this entertaining Super Bowl spot for Hyundai.

Created by Innocean USA, the ad aims to promote the brand's Shopper Assurance program as a modern solution to traditional car-buying. The spot opens on a couple stepping into a lift manned by Jason Bateman. Cheerily greeting them with a 'Hello folks, what floor?', they tell him they're car shopping, to which he responds, 'Oh, you're going down. Wayyyy down.'

The elevator then descends, stopping at some very unappealing floors - root canal treatment, a vegan dinner party, delivering the birds and the bees talk - to eject people. Luckily for the car-buying couple, though, they've booked online via Hyundai's Shopper Assurance, which saves them from the bottom floor, aka the seventh-circle-of-hell auto showroom.
