Ciclope Africa returns for 2019

Ciclope Africa has announced its return to Johannesburg this spring.

Now in its second edition, the African showcase of Ciclope Festival, which celebrates the best film craft around the world, will recognise the most well-crafted campaigns and music videos made by African companies and/or for the region.

The work will be judged by a selection of local professionals as well as top creatives and producers from all over the world, including Clare van Zyl (Monkey Films), Saki Bergh (Left), Thabang Moleya (Seriti), Lanre Adisa (Noah’s Ark, Nigeria), Darren Gordon (They) and Simone Bosman (Osu). The winners will be announced at an awards show in Johannesburg, South Africa, on 17 April 2019.

To help foster the work of African professionals and keep on building bridges among the industry, the winning works from Ciclope Africa will automatically become finalists at Ciclope Festival, which takes place on 6-7 November 2019 in Berlin.
