Google is marking the 20 year anniversary of Google Search by releasing Search Like a G, a series of short films illustrating the power of search for businesses, featuring infamous Brentwood entrepreneur Chabuddy G from the BBC show People Just Do Nothing.
Chabuddy G, played by Asim Chaudhry and relatively fresh from helping Comic Relief and British Airways with their own film, stars in four short videos explaining the importance of search ads for helping business grow. Chabuddy attempts to use Google to help propel his peanut dust business towards global domination, though eventually needs to employ a search specialist called Sarah, whom he refers to as 'Google', to show him how the system actually works.
The campaign wa created by Poke London and you can see the first episide above, with the three other entries in the series below.
The campaign coincides with the release of the final series of the popular mockumentary, People Just Do Nothing, being aired on BBC Two on November 12 at 10pm. The show is a great YouTube success story, debuting on the platform in 2011 and making a cultural impact, before transferring to TV in 2014.
