Director Jakob Strom and New York agency Strawberry Frog sensitively portray the world of autism, and the importance of making emotional connections, in a beautifully crafted short film for the SunTrust Foundation.

In the film, a young girl and her cuddly toy pig explore a magical forest full of natural wonders, a place that feels suspended between reality and a dream. The camera lingers on tiny details, like a line of ants crossing the girl's shoe, and the glowing dust motes which float, firefly-like, on the air.  Who is she, and where is she going?

Eventually, the little girl discovers a bridge and the muffled voice, which had been a faint sound in the background, becomes clearer, calling her to cross over. At the end of the bridge, we discover the voice is her mother, who is finally able to create a connection between her world, and that of her autistic daughter.
