Thelma and Louise gets a MoneySuperMarket makeover in this new spot from Mother.
The 60 second film, called Sindyville, is directed by Blink's The Bobbsey Twins From Homicide and features a suburban town filled with white picket fences where identikit husbands in blue polo shirts mow impeccably kept lawns, while their identikit wives in pink dresses hang out the washing. As the inhabitants go about their daily chores, a different Sindy in a headscarf and sunglasses pulls up to one of the houses in a sleek convertible and defiantly applies red lipstick in the rearview mirror.
As curious neighbours look on, one of the identikit Sindys puts down her washing basket and runs to join her friend in the car. The two Sindys then look to break out of Sindyville, recreating iconic scenes from Ridley Scott's Thelma & Louise to the anthemic beat of Fleetwood Mac’s Go Your Own Way.
