TBWASydney and director Nathan Price, through Goodoil films, create an epic sci-fi spot for The Woolmark Company’s first ad in over seven years.
This gorgeously produced film promoting the global authority on wool depicts a young women in a soul-less dystopian future receiving a gift of a soft wool sports sweater. Tiring of a world dominated by synthetics, she dons the garment and sets off on a run through the industrial urban landscape. Do androids dream of electric sheep? You may well ask, as she tries to escape her grim, industrial Bladerunner-esque confines, encountering nightmarish plastic sheep along the way.
Heading for the hills she finally finds the natural world and fibres she's been pining for when she happens upon a flock of fluffy Merino sheep.
Ninety per cent of the world’s wool is produced in Australia and this global campaign aims to promote the benefits of the country’s Merino wool, focusing on qualities such as breathability and moisture management, that make it ideal for the athleisure wear textile market.
