Today [August 30] marks the International Day of the Disappeared, and to highlight its work in attempting to trace people missing in war zones, the ICRC has released this poignant spot.
Focusing specifically on Lebanon - and the thousands of Lebanese who went missing during the civil war of 1975-1990 (and later under the Syrian occupation) - the film, directed by Areej Mahmoud and produced by Stoked, shows through time-lapse how families continue to wait, for decades, for their loved ones to return.
