Don't let a scammer enjoy your retirement, warns M&C Saatchi London in this devastating spot for the Financial Conduct Authority’s ScamSmart scheme.
The 60-second ad, helmed by SKUNK London's Amanda Blue, is shot in a documentary style and cuts between scenes of a devil-may-care jet-skier whooping it up on the waves and everyman Bob, a father and grandfather, talking about his devastating experience of being conned out of his life savings.
“Retirement is something that we spend our entire career saving for," explains M&C Saatchi's ECD, Justin Tindall. "The thought of 40 years’ worth of investment being stolen from you by a scammer is a sickening one. This campaign aims to make that feeling all the more unpalatable by dramatising the scammer heartlessly enjoying the proceeds of his victim’s hard-earned pension.”
The film, which launches on TV today, will also run online and in cinemas.
