Part music video, part physical theatre, part fashion film, this arresting short visually expresses the daily struggle to wind down amidst our busy working lives.
Directed by New York-based motion picture director Jean Claude Billmaier, the action takes place in the confines of a hotel room, where we see a businessman slowly shake off the tensions of the working day through dance, as the room splinters and fragments around him.
Featuring choreography by Loni Landon and an original soundtrack by R&B singer/producer Toulouse, the film, entitled Nulla, makes for a compelling watch.
“Emotions such as anxiety, stress and anger are often portrayed as negative forces trapped within ourselves," says Billmaier. "With Nulla I wanted to create a place in which all our tensions are released, with the process itself being something ecstatic and gratifying. It’s the release, and finally being able to breathe, that we should be focusing on.”
