Returning in a glorious blaze of herbs and spices, Colonel Sanders is back to save KFC following its darkest hour.
Marking the Colonel's reappearance on British TV for the first time in over 40 years, the spot, which aired on Saturday, is meant to symbolise a 'return to full strength' after the nation’s favourite chicken chain traumatically ran out of chicken earlier this year.
Directed by Radical Friend via Partizan, the TVC features news footage from the restaurant closures followed by the Colonel’s philosophy, expressed through a mix of archive clips and new commissioned film. The integrated campaign, created by Mother, also includes outdoor posters featuring iconic Colonel artwork, developed in partnership with American screenprinting artist Greg Gossel.
