Advertising has always been full of celebs winking at their past careers, but to really make the joke land, you have to commit to the bit.
Thankfully, in the opening instalment of Pantene's new series, John Stamos has absolutely no qualms about sending himself up, wonderfully playing the part of a preening poser as he turns up at the brand's HQ, original 1994 advert in tow, in an attempt to become its Ultimate Ambassador.
Created by Grey New York and directed by Dan Opsal through Hungryman, this genuinely amusing sketch proves that being the butt of your own joke can be a pretty good look.
