Inspired by director Amy Nicholson's decade of living in New York City, Irony takes viewers on a walk through the Big Apple and showcases some of the best (and worst) of the city's residents.
The short film begins with a voiceover of a flight attendant announcing that the aircraft bathroom is out of order, followed by an extensive list of beverages offered on the flight. In a similarly cheeky tone, the rest of the film consists of short portraits of people in ironic situations, like a man smoking in a smoke-free zone, a fashionable old woman with a Forever 21 bag, and a hearse in a fatal collision.
