River Island's latest spot from Studio Blvd. to promote its new SS18 line, is a fun and zingy showcase of its collection.
Director Lacey confronts labels head-on by using a range of stereotype-defying models, who challenge the way we see gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity and religion in fashion campaigns. And each of the of the cast brought a sense of reality to the spot, having all personally suffered negative criticsim throughout their careers.
The campaign also plays with the idea of turning labels on their head, by transforming washing instructions into inspirational messages; such as 'Do Not Shrink.'
Look out for our Fashion issue #174, out in March.
