The BBC kicks off its 2018 Winter Olympics campaign today with this stunning animated spot from Nexus Studios' Smith & Foulkes.
Created in collaboration with Y&R London, The Fearless Are Here marks a refreshing departure from previous Olympics title sequences, with its bold, abstract 2D animation style and relentless pace.
Dragons, wolves and other mythical beasts represent the enormous psychological and physical obstacles faced by a luger, skier, curler, snowboarder, ski-jumper and ice-skater in their quest to triumph at the Games, while a colour palette of black, white and red nods to the Korean setting.
Find out more about the incredible craft behind the spot in a director Q&A, coming soon.
