Publicis Milan continues its Go With The Flaw campaign for Diesel with a sweet short film, simply but stylishly told.

Directed once again by Francois Rousselet, via Division Paris, the SS2018 campaign film tells the story of a boy and a girl who meet and fall in love soon after getting their physical imperfections (him: sticking-out ears; her: prominent nose) 'fixed' with a little help from the surgeon's knife. But a year on, and with the arrival of a little bundle of joy, they discover that their so-called flaws will always be stronger than any attempts to hide them - so why not embrace them? Perfection is boring, after all...

Launched today, the film also includes subtle clues that link back to the full campaign celebating the beauty in flaws. Keep an eye out for symbols directing you to an Instagram profile that revels in unmatched socks (@wantedsocks), or to the website of a fictitious restaurant called Bluffet (bluffet.com) where, in collaboration with BuzzFeed’s Tasty, three video recipes meant to fuel ‘flawed’ behaviour have been created. Another clue (layover.it) leads people to a flawed travel agency’s website, which makes a feature of booking flights with the largest possible number of layovers, since the beauty of a badly planned trip is having many trips in a single one.

Keep an eye out for a Diesel brand profile in the upcoming fashion special, issue #174.
