Apparently, despite KFC having opened in France back in 1991, only three per cent of French people know who Colonel Sanders is, KFC's advertising having never really utilised him... Ronald must be sniggering into his McFlurry. So, to remedy this, Sid Lee has created a new campaign for the brand to introduce the chicken king to the public and it starts with this campaign, directed by Jeff Low through La Pac Paris

The film follows the Colonel who, after overhearing two young Frenchmen chatting indifferently about his chicken, embarks on a journey from Kentucky to the Gallic country. Intent on introducing himself, he’s prepared to confront any challenge to explain that his is no ordinary bucket of chicken, that his secret blend of 11 herbs and spices took him over 40 years to perfect. The spot is a weird and wonderful journey that possibly owes a debt of gratitude to the Old Spice Man and Low's own Tena spokesman.
