While we've had a couple of Christmas ads already this year (one in October, even, for a Czech supermarket), this spot for Argos is the first festive spot for a major UK retailer, and it kicks off proceedings in style. Created by CHI&Partners and directed by Independent's Gary Freedman the action takes place in an Argos warehouse populated by elves. When one elf notices a misplaced toy - a Teksta voice-recognition robotic puppy, to be exact - we enter a chase sequence that has elements of Star Wars, with it's futuristic spacecraft, and Mission: Impossible with the resultant high-stakes pursuit.
