After a year that has seen him win 7 Cannes Lions, Gold at the One Show, Gold at the Clios for Direction and a Silver D&AD Pencil, Japan's Show Yanagisawa is added to Blink's rosters.

The work that won him this acclaim was Gravity Cat, his film for Playstation game Gravity Rush 2. In the POV-style piece, two Japanese girls are playing with a cat qwhen gravity starts shifting around them, leading to them and their stuff being thrown about the room, a small fire, and then them and their cat being thrown out of the window.

This follows similar success for his 2015 spot High School Girl for cosmetics brand Shiseido, a spot where a room full of high-school girls are revealed to be all boys in drag. The ad, with its message that 'anyone can be cute,' won Gold Cannes Lions in Film & Film Craft, D&AD Pencils, Clios, One Show Pencils, and others.

These successes brought him to the attention of Blink. Blink's executive producer Ben Sharpe said of the hire, "Show is a natural and gifted filmmaker. He puts human emotion at the forefront of his work - crafting his films to suit the advertising idea, and using his technical prowess to serve the story. We’re all thrilled to have Show join the Blink Productions roster, and on a personal note, I’m excited and honoured to be part of this next chapter in his career.”
