Los York pay tribute to the playground in a sport-inspired spot to promote Jordan Brand.
Narrated by NBA All-Star (and Jordan spokesperson) Blake Griffin, the spot is a nostalgic reminder of how formulative the basketball courts are in establishing a sense of identity and community in youngsters.
As Griffin looks on from the sidelines, he reminisces about his childhood and all the experiences that have contributed to him being the man and sportsman he is today.
Helmed by Dexton Deboree, the campaign blurs stylised shots of groups at play today with what seems to be stock footage of Griffin's own memories on the court. The launch film will be accompanied by in-store, digital and social activations that will resurrect the culture that surrounds the playground.
