As part of a new brand strategy for the FA, VCCP have launched short films celebrating the careers of two successful players overcoming obstacles of disability and gender expectations to play the beautiful game.

As part of For All, the FA's new awareness campaign with a focus on how the association impacts on lives, particularly women and people with disabilties, VCCP have created two short film that show two star players who demonstrate this. Both of these were directed by directing duo Tubby Brother of StrangeLove.

In the first, Casey Stoney: Life of Football, we focus on the career of one of the most successful female footballers in the UK. Beginning in an under-11s team where she was the only girl, Casey Stoney is current England captain, leading her nation at the Euros, the World Cup, and the 2012 Olympic Games.

In the second film James Blackwell: Road to England, meanwhile, we are in the company of James Blackwell, described by the FA as 'a star of the England Cerebral Palsy team'. In this film, we see Blackwell juggling the everyday problems of his disability and maintaining his football playing to a national level.

Speaking of this new For All slogan, FA chief executive Martin Glenn said that, 'the phrase For All... unequivocally states that football is open to everyone, regardless of gender, sexuality, ethnicity, ability, disability, faith or age. For All will be at the heart of The Football Association and will shape everything we do both internally and externally.”

When VCCP aren't celebrating diversity in football, they are making SXSW video diaries for us using Snapchat Specs. Click here to see the results of that.
