Madonna Badger appointed See It Be It ambassador
Cannes’ See It Be It programme has unveiled its second ambassador, Badger & Winters’ CCO.
Following the success of last year’s See It Be It programme, Badger & Winters’ CCO Madonna Badger has assumed the subsequent role.
Last year, BBH’s global CSO Sarah Watson was appointed as the programme’s debut ambassador. The role included overseeing the programme and acting as a mentor to the group of international women who took part.
The purpose of the See It Be It programme is for emerging women around the world to gain unlimited access to the festival, self-develop and expand their industry contacts, with an underlying emphasis on them entering more senior creative roles.
“[Badger’s] continued challenging of the industry to change the norms of objectifying women in advertising and campaigning for equality make her a fantastic role model and natural fit for the programme,” says Cannes Lions’ executive festival director Louise Benson.
Badger has been a long-standing advocate for gender equality in the industry, having worked on the #WomenNot Objects campaign, which was awarded the 2016#Femvertising Award for Social Impact.
Applications for the programme will begin on January 25, but for more information about it, click here.
