Getty Images has hired Steve Grimes as managing editor and senior vice president of consumer media to its New York office.
In his new role, Grimes will be responsible for overseeing the editorial production of the new consumer platform and ensuring the best experience for its users. He will report to CEO Dawn Airey, but he will not begin the job until September 8th. He joins from Comedy Central, where he was SVP of multiplatform programming & strategy. Grimes’ announcement is the latest in a round of new appointments to bolster the company’s editorial offering.
