Obviously, flair and style are essential to looking the part at the Cannes Lions festival. But this year's Cyber Lions juror Victoria Buchanan - ECD at Tribal Worldwide - also suggests some technical gadgets to make the week as smooth sailing as possible.

Macbook Pro: BYO Cyber Lions judging device. The Macbook Pro for every need - from translating the menu to checking the weather forecast, watching a film, editing a film, or photo-shopping out a double chin. An Essential tool for getting through the 1000s of hot entries a Cyber judge have to look at. What ever you do, don’t forget a travel plug, power cable and headphones.

HooToo Travel Router: A mini router and charger all in one. Look how small this is getting - it fits in a pocket. Carry it around and charge any device as you go. You can even offer to charge someone else's device as you will have power to spare. Just relax and stay in the café. No need to run around looking for free wifi up and down the beach.

Parrot Mini Drone: I just think this might be the best way to find friends and colleagues on La Croisette. Imagine flying up from the hotel checking out the beach and restaurants. I also think it’s essential for checking out which yachts you are not on and which parties you have not been invited to.

A Sun Hat: Essential protection for walking to and from the Palace. Great to hide behind if you need to hide from anyone - and stops reflections on your screens. Also, remember there is nothing worse than a burnt Brit abroad!

Camera: Shoot and go. You only need one camera with you to capture great work, presentations, industry leaders advice, old faces, new faces, Instagram magic, Twitter news, and accidents about to happen. It doesn’t get much better than my iPhone 6s’ camera. And it doubles as a phone don’t you know. Call me.

Comfortable Sandals: Ancient Greek sandals with wings. I think these might be useful for picking up awards or getting back to the Airbnb quickly. Keep it flat, lots of walking up and down La Croisette, and you don’t want to wobble later on in the Gutter bar.

A Good Read: You can’t beat an old fashioned book with proper pages to ease you out of the digital pressure of Cyber Lions and the constant devices that will be permanently attached to our finger tips. My read is in preparation  for the rollercoaster ride that is having daughters, and for understanding how being a girl can damage you.

Girl Up from Laura Bates, known for the Everyday Sexism Project, encourages young women to embrace feminism, love themselves and discover why “you are being such a girl”. Can’t wait - said a Woman of Tomorrow.

Sunglasses: It’s like air. Sunglasses are just essential when flying out to Nice, get you to Cannes, creep you into your room. You will need glasses to look cool in the morning, glasses to ease off the bright colours on Google beach - and to hide the red eyes mornings.

In fact I think it’s THE essential item to bring to Cannes Lions.
