Another Gets a (Rupert) Friend on Board
Actor-turned-director signs to London production company.
Rupert Friend has joined Another Film Company for representation as a director. Friend is relatively new to the world of directing, being better known for his acting career, which continues to see him play the role of Peter Quinn in Homeland.
However, Friend did write, direct and produce Steve, starring Colin Firth and Keira Knightley, for which he was awarded the Rhode Island Flicker Film Festival’s Crystal Vision award. He also co-wrote and produced the short film, The Continuing and Lamentable Saga of the Suicide Brothers, which won Best Comedy at The New Hampshire Film Festival.
Friend also plans to direct, write, and star in the feature film, Barton & Charlie & Checco & Bill which follows a down-on-his-luck con-artist, who meets a woman to whom he offers to teach the tricks of the trade.
