Toyota Hilux: The Benchmark. Rebuilt

Toyota's much-loved Hilux ute is celebrated in poetic form in this amusing ad from New Zealand that sees a cast of passionate animals express their fondness for the vehicle.

Created by Saatchi & Saatchi Auckland and directed by Adam Stevens via Robber's Dog, the 90-second spot goes out in the open scaling beautiful scenic landscapes, maintaining the humorous theme throughout with a surreal script.

From the days of Scottie and Crumpy, to the controversial but adored ‘Bugger’ commercials, to more recent campaigns featuring talking Bulls and sidecar-riding monkeys.
