Fancy yourself a budding wildlife filmmaker, but don’t know how to distribute your work?

Look no further, Nat Geo WILD has just opened its third annual WILD TO INSPIRE film competition, in partnership with Sun Valley Film Festival.

Encouraging filmmakers to share their experiences of being in the wild, this year the theme of the contest is Let the Wild In.

Entrants will be judged on the creativity of the content, the quality of production and script, and the final edit. Entries should be no longer than five minutes.

Three finalists will be selected on February 15th next year and their films will be screened at the Sun Valley Film Festival in March, where the winner will be decided by a judging panel and Nat Geo WILD executives.

The winning entry will be revealed at the Festival’s closing ceremony and the winner will get the opportunity to go on an African expedition to document wildlife for Nat Geo WILD viewers.

Last year, Filipe DeAndrade won with his short film Adapt (below) which explores his relationship with nature and his enthusiasm for filmmaking.
