Two films directed by Jonathan Glazer showing ‘unseen stories’ are the centrepiece of Canon Europe’s biggest ever through-the-line brand campaign.
The first spot showcases a Calcio Storico match, otherwise known as a ‘historic football’ game. Amidst the art-filled galleries and recognisable tourist attractions in Florence, an ancient version of football unfolds (more gladiator than UEFA Champions League), where competitors dressed in medieval clothes tackle, wrestle and chase each other wildly to get the ball and win the ultimate sporting trophy – a cow.
The second story will show a herd of deer exploring residential streets close to Epping Forest, south-east England.
The campaign, titled Come and See, is being further brought to life through a dedicated website with behind-the-scenes footage and product-centric videos from photographers Christopher Pillitz and Jamie Hall.
