According to Hebrew daily newspaper Maariv, 76% of Israeli teens have never met a Holocaust survivor. A recent survey also found that 48% of Jews aged 18-29 were unaware of one of the most horrific mass murder events of the Holocaust, the massacre at Babi Yar.

In light of these statistics, Zikaraon Basalon, an organization dedicated to keeping holocaust survivor stories alive, has collaborated with agency McCann Tel Aviv to launch this affecting campaign, with the goal of engaging with young people on a platform they are most comfortable with – gaming.

The initiative, titled “Fighting to Remember,” includes films of influential gamers streaming a live walk-through of a WWII inspired map on the first person shooting game, Call of Duty, whilst real holocaust survivors recount their harrowing real-life experiences, bringing into sharp relief the horrors they experienced in those locations.
