Titled Win The Holidays – The Challenge, this fantastical film was directed by Gary Freedman, through MJZ, and is part of a campaign created for Samsung by R/GA/London.
Opening with a family living room dissolving into a theatre stage-cum-fairground of horrors, the film features such torments as the 'distant relative zone’, from which emerge part-dodgem car/part giant headed ghouls, spouting ominous utterances about Brussels sprouts; there’s the misery of the missing end of the sticky tape; unwieldy wrapping paper monsters and mountains of tangled tree lights.
All of which are waiting to get you but can be managed, of course, by various smartphone solutions.
